About Me

My photo
Hi, I'm Nikki from NCsquared Life (www.ncsquaredlife.com)! While I don't consider myself a true fashionista, I do enjoy wearing cute outfits. I'm currently a full-time graduate student and have a very limited budget so I try to dress on a dime. I've decided to document my looks here to keep the creative juices flowing. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you like what see.

Finally, federal funding for comprehensive sex education!

In the words of the fabulous Ms. Gloria Steinem, "abstinence-only education is the only academic institution where children are rewarded for NOT knowing." I've always believed that teaching our youth about sex, making it less taboo and mysterious, will decrease the teen-pregnancy rate, as well as the need for abortions. Finally, federal funding for comprehensive sexual education programs will be available to those evidence-based programs that can prove they'll reduce teen pregnancy. I say it's about time! For more information on Michael Carerra's program, see the NPR link below.
"Giving young people information about sex is not the same thing as giving them permission to have sex, Carrera points out. "Sexual ignorance is not bliss. You do not make responsible decisions in the dark."
